Both Campuses
As an active member of a Worship Team, you are part of one of the most visible ministries in the church. It is a high and holy calling that requires you to be a true worship leader. We cannot lead the body of Christ into worship unless we, ourselves, are having a worship experience. Worship Teams are made up of those vocalists and musicians who are called to the ministry and are willing to use their gifts and abilities to serve the Lord through worship leadership.
A Worship Team currently consists of:
Lead Vocalists
Pianist/Keyboard players
Lead Guitarist
Bass Guitarist
Drummer (electronic drums)
Audio Technicians
Video Technician
Members of a Worship Team work together each week through prayer and preparation to lead the body of Christ into the worship experience. Rehearsals are conducted every Wednesday evening in the Sanctuary. Attendance at rehearsals is critical to ensure that the quality of worship music gives glory to God and edifies the believer.
Members of a Worship Team possess a demonstrated high level of proficiency in either singing, playing their instrument, or practicing their technical craft.
Vocalists and musicians interested in being a part of a Worship Team should contact the Music Pastor. A current list of substitutes is kept in order to fill future vacancies and to organize groups for special services or events outside of Sunday morning worship.
In order to become a member of a Worship Team, one must be a born-again believer in Jesus Christ, be a member of Leonardtown Baptist Church, and have demonstrated vocal (quality singing tone and pitch) or instrumental (proficient) ability. Vocalists on a Worship Team must also be a member of the Sanctuary Choir.
