Welcome to LBC! – Ministries – Worship Arts – Orchestra
The Leonardtown Baptist Church Orchestra is a dynamic group made up of a variety of gifted musicians. The Orchestra is part of Worship Team #1, which plays on the first Sunday of every month. They accompany all congregational worship as well as provide instrumental specials for preludes and offertories. On occasion, an orchestra member may be asked to join one of the Worship Teams to enhance a particular piece of music. The Orchestra may also be asked to play for holiday presentations or other special occasions throughout the year.
In order to become part of the LBC Orchestra musicians must demonstrate at least an intermediate level or better of proficiency with their instrument(s) through an informal audition process.
The LBC Orchestra rehearses every Wednesday evening from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the Choir Room. Attendance at rehearsals is very important to ensure the highest quality of music for our worship services.
