Welcome to LBC! – Ministries – Worship Arts – Sanctuary Choir
Being a part of the Sanctuary Choir is a highly visible ministry in the church. When part of this group, you will be actively leading the congregation into worship, and your commitment to Christ and his church will be on display during each service that you lead. Therefore, you are asked to take this ministry seriously by your commitment.
Membership in the Sanctuary requires:
- That one is a believer and gives testimony to knowing Jesus Christ through salvation by faith.
- That one has joined with the body and is a member of Leonardtown Baptist Church.
- That one is of high school age (Grade 9) through adult.
- That one possesses the basic musical qualities of diction, tone quality and singing a part in a way that blends with the group. (A vocal evaluation will be conducted prior to choir membership.)
The Sanctuary Choir prepares formal anthems that are sung during worship services either once or twice per month, presents for special services and holiday presentations. Choir rehearsals take place every Wednesday evening from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the Choir Room (at the back of the main sanctuary).
Members interested in joining the Sanctuary should complete a registration form and schedule a vocal evaluation with the Director of Music.
